Loose Tea Guide - How to use your drawstring teabag

New to loose tea? Is your MĀK Apothecary tea sample your first time trying loose tea? No problem!

Here is your guide to how to use the loose tea in your sample. You can use this method with any loose tea and disposable or reusable tea bag.

  1. Boil fresh water for your tea.
  2. Open the sample bag and take out the drawstring white bag for loose tea.
  3. Gently pull apart the drawstring tea bag to open it up fully. Ensure that the drawstring is loosened completely.
  4. Empty the contents of the sample into the drawstring bag. Be cautious not to overfill the bag, as this can prevent proper infusion. The sample is enough tea.
  5. After filling the tea bag, carefully gather the edges of the bag and pull the drawstring tight to close it securely. Make sure there are no loose tea leaves escaping from the bag.
  6. Once the water reaches a boil, place the filled and closed tea bag into your cup or mug. This sample is for 10-12 oz of tea
  7. Let the tea steep in the hot water for the 5-7.
  8. Taste the tea to see if it has your desired strength of flavor.
  9. After the desired steeping time, carefully lift the tea bag out of the water using the drawstring. Squeeze gently to extract any excess liquid from the bag back into your cup.
  10. Your tea is now ready to drink! You can add sweeteners, milk, lemon, or other flavorings as per your preference. I recommend agave!
  11. Once you've finished your tea, dispose of the used tea bag responsibly. You can compost it if the material is biodegradable, or dispose of it in your household waste.

Following these steps should help you make a delicious cup of tea using a drawstring tea bag with loose tea. Enjoy your tea time!
